OET (OET-LV) And_they_carried DOM_him/it on the_horses and_he_was_buried in_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) with ancestors_of_his in_the_city_of Dāvid.
OET (OET-RV) His body was carried back on horses, and he was buried in his ancestral tomb in Yerushalem in the city of David.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ עַל־הַסּוּסִ֑ים
(Some words not found in UHB: and,they_carried DOM=him/it on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in the,horses and,he_was_buried in,Jerusalem with ancestors_of,his in,the_city_of Dāvid )
Because the author says the horses, he probably means Amaziah’s own horses. In that case, he would be using the horses to represent Amaziah’s royal chariot, which the horses pulled. Alternate translation: [And they brought him back in his royal chariot]
Note 2 topic: translate-symaction
וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ עַל־הַסּוּסִ֑ים

Bringing Amaziah’s body back to Jerusalem in his royal chariot was a symbolic action by which the conspirators who killed him nevertheless showed respect for his role as king. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could explain the significance of this action in the text or in a footnote. Alternate translation: [And they brought him back to Jerusalem respectfully in his royal chariot]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
