Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed as a tool for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

27:33-35 Paul’s words and actions are those of a true leader who personally assesses a perilous situation, decides on action, and leads others in solving the problem (cp. Neh 1–3; contrast Jon 1). Paul’s positive example and strong faith in God (Acts 27:22-25) encouraged the others to eat and take heart.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns
τοῦτο & πρὸς τῆς ὑμετέρας σωτηρίας ὑπάρχει
this & for ¬the your salvation ˓is˒_being
If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of salvation, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [this will save you] or [this will keep you alive]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / synecdoche
οὐδενὸς & ὑμῶν θρὶξ ἀπὸ τῆς κεφαλῆς ἀπολεῖται
˱of˲_no_one & ˱of˲_you_all ˓a˒_hair from the head ˓will_be˒_perishing
Paul is using one part of each of his listeners, a hair from his head, to represent all of that listener. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression from your culture or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [each of you will survive without suffering harm]
