UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: translate-bdistance

כְּאַלְפַּ֥יִם אַמָּ֖ה

(Some words not found in UHB: but distance will_belong between,you_all and,between,it about,thousand cubits in/on/at/with,distance not come_near to=him/it then which/who know DOM the,way which/who go in/on/at/with,her that/for/because/then/when not passed in/on/at/with,way on,yesterday before )

The word cubit is a measurement equaling the distance from the elbow to the end of the the middle finger tip. If it would help your readers, you could express this in terms of modern measurements, either in the text or a footnote. Alternate translation: “about 900 meters” or “about 1,000 yards”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

מִתְּמ֥וֹל שִׁלְשֽׁוֹם

on,yesterday before

As in 1:11 and 3:2, this expression means “yesterday or the day before.” But in contexts such as this, the expression mean more generally “at any time in the past.” If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “at any time in the past”
