BrTrAnd they shall take down the house, and its timbers and its stones, and they shall carry out all the mortar without the city into an unclean place.

ULTThen he shall tear down the house—its stones and its wood and all the mortar of the house. And he shall take them out to a place on the outside of the city, to an unclean place.

USTThe owner of the house must completely tear it down. He should remove the stones, the timber, and all the plaster. The owner of the house should dispose of everything wherever people dispose of impure items outside of the city.

14:33-53 The contamination of buildings by rot or mildew made them unhealthy or even unsafe. These buildings were considered diseased and therefore not whole or clean (see study note on 11:1–15:33). The inspection and treatment process was similar to the one for mildew in clothing (13:47-59).
