2.3 Paralyticum. HIER. Paralysis typus est torporis, quo piger jacet in mollitie carnis, habens desiderium salutis: sed turbis, etc., usque ad ut per aliam viam cum Magis in suam regionem redeat. A quatuor portabatur. BEDA. Quia quatuor virtutibus ad Dominum fiducia mentis erigitur. De quibus dicitur in libro Sapientiæ: Sobrietatem et sapientiam docet, et scientiam et virtutem Sap. 8., quas alii prudentiam, fortitudinem, temperantiam et justitiam nuncupant.

2.3 Paralyticum. HIER. A paralytic is someone who is not able to use or control some or all of his or her arms and legs because of injury or sickness. If your readers would not be familiar with this sickness, you could use the name of something like this in your language, or you could use a general expression.
