TSNTyndale Study Notes:

19:13 He wore a robe dipped in blood: This description may refer to (1) the blood of Christ’s enemies, signifying his total victory (Isa 63:2-4); or (2) Christ’s sacrificial death for humanity (Rev 1:7).
• The Word of God is John’s distinctive designation for Jesus (see John 1:1, 14).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

περιβεβλημένος ἱμάτιον βεβαμμένον αἵματι

/having_been/_clothed ˱in˲_/a/_robe /having_been/_dipped ˱in˲_blood

If your language does not use these passive forms, you could express the ideas in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “wearing a robe that he had dipped in blood”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicitinfo

κέκληται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ

/has_been/_called the /the/_name ˱of˲_him

It might seem that the expression his name is called contains extra information that would be unnatural to express in your language. If so, you could shorten it. Alternate translation: “his name is” or “he is called”

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

κέκληται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ

/has_been/_called the /the/_name ˱of˲_him

If your language does not use this passive form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “people call him”
