19 “Mister, I can see that you’re a prophet,” the woman reacted. 20 “Our ancestors worshipped on this mountain, but you Yehudim (Jews) claim that people should only worship there in Yerushalem (Jerusalem).”
21 Then Yeshua told her, “You need to believe that I was sent from God, woman, because a day is coming when everyone will be worshipping him neither on this mountain, nor in Yerushalem. 22 You people in Shomron (Samaria) don’t even know who you worship, but we do, because people will be saved by means of us Yehudim. 23 But a time is coming, starting even now, when the true worshippers will be worshipping the father in spirit and truth, because those are the ones that he is wanting to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and the ones worshipping him must worship in spirit and total honesty.”
25 The woman said, “I’m aware that the messiah is coming—God’s chosen one. Whenever he appears, he’ll teach us everything.”
26 “I am the messiah,” Yeshua responded. “Yes, he’s speaking to you!”
12 So then, brothers and sisters, with compassion from God I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice—holy and pleasing to God—your logical and sacred service. 2 Don’t conform to the norms of this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, then you’ll be able to accept and approve God’s good, pleasing, and perfect intentions.
15 With Yeshua’s help, we should always be praising God as if we were presenting offerings to him. We do that when we say that we believe that Yeshua is God. 16 But on top of faith, we need to continue to do good and share what we have with others, because those are the kinds of sacrifices that please God.
15 Because of that, take great care in exactly how you’re living. Don’t live like fools, but like wise people, 16 making good use of your time,[ref] because there’s lot of evil these days. 17 So don’t be foolish, but rather strive to discover what Yahweh wants for you.
18 And don’t get drunk on alcohol because that’s excessive. Instead, be filled with God’s spirit, 19 sharing scriptures with each other and singing hymns and songs to praise Yahweh,[ref] 20 always expressing thanks for everything to our father God in the authority and name of our master Yeshua (Jesus; Grk. Yesus) the messiah. 21 And show your honour of the messiah by placing yourselves under each other’s authority.
12 So as holy people chosen and loved by God, ‘dress’ in: compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience,[ref] 13 tolerating each other, and forgiving anyone who has a complaint about another person. The master forgave all of you, so you also should forgive others.[ref] 14 Then over all of those, ‘dress’ in love which is the perfect connection to others. 15 Let the peace of the messiah rule in your hearts. That’s what you were called to as parts of one body. Make sure that you’re thankful 16 and that the messiah’s message is a rich part of you with all its wisdom as you teach and give advice to each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankfulness in your hearts.[ref] 17 ⇔Then give thanks to God the father through the name of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus; Grk. Yesus) in everything—whatever you’re all saying or doing.
16 Always find something to be happy about. 17 Never stop praying, 18 thanking God about everything.
This is what God wants for you in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus; Grk. Yesus): 19 Don’t smother the holy spirit. 20 Don’t scorn prophesies. 21 Evaluate everything, holding on to what’s good 22 but keeping away from everything that seems to be evil.
23 May the God of peace himself make you completely holy and may your entire spirits, souls, and bodies be kept irreproachable at the returning of our master Yeshua Messiah. 24 The one calling you all is faithful and he will also see it through.
9 They sung a new song like this:[ref]
“It’s you who’s worthy to take the scroll and break its seals,
because you were slaughtered and with your blood you purchased people for God
from every tribe and language and people group and nation.
10 You’ve made them to be a kingdom
and to be priests to serve our God,[ref]
and they will reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked and I heard the voices of the living creatures and elders that were around the throne along with millions of God’s messengers[ref] 12 saying with loud voices:
“The lamb that was slaughtered is worthy to receive power and riches,
and wisdom and strength and honour and praise and blessing.”
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth, and under the earth and in the sea—everything everywhere—saying,
“To the one sitting on the throne
be praise and honour and GLORY and power
forever and ever.”
14 Then the four living creatures said, “May it be so,” and the elders knelt down and worshipped.
