Some ancient manuscripts read “And you.” The ULT follows that reading. Other ancient manuscripts read “And now.” If a translation of the Bible exists in your region, you may wish to use the reading that it uses. If a translation of the Bible does not exist in your region, you may wish to use the reading of the ULT.

Bathsheba is using the common expression of her culture the eyes of all of Israel are on you to mean “all the Israelites are depending on you.” If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [all the Israelites are looking to you] or [all the Israelites are depending on you]

Here, David’s throne represents his royal authority and rule. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [who will rule the Israelites as your successor]

OET (OET-RV) So now everyone’s waiting to see what you’ll do, my master the king. They want you to make it clearly known who’ll be the king on the throne after you.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
