שׁ֥וֹר וּֽמְרִיא־וְצֹאן֮
oxen and,fatling and,sheep
In this verse, the words ox, fatling, and sheep are all singular in form, but each term refers to a group of animals that Adonijah has sacrificed. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use plural forms of these words in your translation. Alternate translation: [oxen and fatlings and sheep]

When speaking to David, who is Solomon’s father, Bathsheba calls Solomon your servant rather than “your son.” She is probably doing that to emphasize that Solomon is serving David loyally and not going against his wishes the way Adonijah is doing. In your translation, you may be able to use a phrase that makes Solomon’s relationship and loyalty to David clear, here and in [1:26](../01/26.md). Alternate translation: [your loyal son]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
