3:10 Note: We read one or more accents in L differently than BHS. Often this notation indicates a typographical error in BHS.
OET (OET-RV) and Israel’s king complained, “Oh dear, it seems that Yahweh has sent in us three kings to allow Moab to defeat us.”
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion
(Occurrence 0) What is this? Has Yahweh called three kings to give them into the hand of Moab?
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said king Yisrael alas that/for/because/then/when he/it_called YHWH for,three the,kings the=these to,give DOM,them in/on/at/with,hand Mōʼāⱱ )
The king uses a rhetorical question to emphasize how ridiculous and terrible their situation is. If it would be helpful in your language, you could express this question as a statement. Alternate translation: “It looks like Yahweh will allow all three of us to be captured by Moab!”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / synecdoche
(Occurrence 0) to give them into the hand of Moab
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said king Yisrael alas that/for/because/then/when he/it_called YHWH for,three the,kings the=these to,give DOM,them in/on/at/with,hand Mōʼāⱱ )
Here “Moab” refers to its army. Also, “the hand of Moab” refers to the “control” of Moab’s army. Alternate translation: “to give us over to Moab’s control” or “so the army of Moab will defeat us” (See also: figs-metonymy)
3:4-27 The joint war of Israel and Judah against Moab was the setting for one of Elisha’s miracles.

OET (OET-RV) and Israel’s king complained, “Oh dear, it seems that Yahweh has sent in us three kings to allow Moab to defeat us.”
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
