If it would be clearer in your language, you could translate this so that there is not a quotation within a quotation. Alternate translation: [asking me to tell you that two young men from the sons of the prophets had just come to him from the hill country of Ephraim and to ask you to give them a kikkar of silver and two changes of clothing]
