OET (OET-LV) servants_of_his And_they_drew_near and_they_spoke to_him/it and_they_said would_that a_thing great the_prophet he_spoke to_you am_not will_you_do_it and_indeed if/because he_has_said to_you wash and_be_clean.
OET (OET-RV) Then some of his servants approached him and suggested, “My master, if the prophet had told you to do something more significant, wouldn’t you have done it? So maybe you could do the simple thing that he told you: wash and get better.”
Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns
אָבִי֙
my_father
While the author says that Naaman’s servants approached him, it is clear that one servant is speaking on behalf of all of them, since he uses the singular pronoun My. It may be more natural in some languages to use a plural pronoun, since the servant is speaking for a group. Alternate translation: [Our father]
Note 2 topic: writing-politeness
אָבִי֙
my_father
This servant is referring to Naaman by a respectful title. Use a comparable title or expression for addressing someone respectfully in your language. Alternate translation: [Master]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion
אָבִי֙ דָּבָ֣ר גָּד֗וֹל הַנָּבִ֛יא דִּבֶּ֥ר אֵלֶ֖יךָ הֲל֣וֹא תַעֲשֶׂ֑ה
my_father (Some words not found in UHB: and,they_drew_near servants_of,his and,they_spoke to=him/it and=they_said my_father thing big/great the,prophet he/it_had_said to,you am=not done and,indeed? that/for/because/then/when he/it_had_said to,you wash and,be_clean )
Naaman’s servants are using the question form to try to convince him to obey Elisha. If a speaker of your language would not use the question form for that purpose, you could translate this as a statement or as an exclamation. Alternate translation: [if the prophet spoke a great matter to you, you would certainly do it!]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis
וְאַ֛ף
and,indeed?
The servants are leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [Then how much more should you do it]
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / quotesinquotes
אָמַ֥ר אֵלֶ֖יךָ רְחַ֥ץ וּטְהָֽר
he/it_had_said to,you wash and,be_clean
If it would be clearer in your language, you could translate this so that there is not a quotation within a quotation. Alternate translation: [he has told you to wash and be clean]
Note 6 topic: figures-of-speech / imperative
רְחַ֥ץ וּטְהָֽר
wash and,be_clean
See how you translated the similar expression in [5:10](../05/10.md). Alternate translation: [Wash, and you will become clean!]

OET (OET-RV) Then some of his servants approached him and suggested, “My master, if the prophet had told you to do something more significant, wouldn’t you have done it? So maybe you could do the simple thing that he told you: wash and get better.”
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
