18.12 Attenuetur fame. Caro nostra infirmitas it_is. Robur however, anima rationalis, which in expugnandis vitiis resistere through rationem valet. Bildad is speaking of the strength of a wicked person as if it were a living thing that could become hungry. He means that a wicked person’s strength becomes weakened as if by hunger. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “He is weakened as if by hunger”

If your language does not use this passive form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. If you need to say who has done the action, the context suggests that it is God. Alternate translation: “and God has prepared disaster”
