Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

20.1 Idcirco cogitationes. GREG. in Job., l. 15. Ac si dicat: quia extremi judicii terrorem considero, idcirco cogitationum tumultibus in timore confundor. Et mens in diversa rapitur. Quando modo mala quæ agere neglexit, modo reprehensibilia in quibus est, modo recta quæ sibi adhuc deesse conspicit, sollicito pavore perpendit. Unde iste subdit.

20.1 Idcirco cogitationes. GREG. in Yob., l. 15. Ac when/but_if let_him_say: because extremi yudicii terrorem considero, idcirco cogitationum tumultibus in timore confundor. And mens in diversa rapitur. When modo mala which agere neglexit, modo reprehensibilia in to_whom it_is, modo recta which sibi adhuc deesse conspicit, sollicito pavore perpendit. Isti from societate Yob noverunt indeed recte vivere, but yudicia of_God subtiliter pensare nescientes, justos this not/no posse percuti credunt. And ideo this_one suspicati are iniquum, and to increpationem dilabuntur: to how tamen under quadam reverentia descendunt. Unde this subdit.
