20:34 It’s not entirely clear who this ‘him’ was (as Sha’ul had seriously dishonoured Yonatan as well), so we’ve left it ambiguous (although David was certainly the last name mentioned).

BrTr And Jonathan sprang up from the table in great anger, and did not eat bread on the second day of the month, for he grieved bitterly for David, because his father determined on mischief against him.

ULT And Jonathan arose from the table with burning of nose. And he did not eat bread on the second day of the new moon, for he was grieved for David, because his father had dishonored him.

UST This made Jonathan very angry, and he left the room. On that second day of the festival, he refused to eat anything. His father had said unfairly that David was not loyal to him, and that made Jonathan offended for David’s sake.
