TSNTyndale Study Notes:

UTNuW Translation Notes:

(Occurrence 0) They went after them to the Jordan

(Some words not found in UHB: and,went after,them until the,Jordan and=see/lo/see! all the,way littered_with clothes and,equipment which/who thrown_away ʼArām in/on/at/with,haste,their and,returned the,messengers and,told to_the,king )

Alternate translation: “They followed the path the Aramean army took all the way to the Jordan River”

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / hyperbole

(Occurrence 0) all the road was full of clothes and equipment

(Some words not found in UHB: and,went after,them until the,Jordan and=see/lo/see! all the,way littered_with clothes and,equipment which/who thrown_away ʼArām in/on/at/with,haste,their and,returned the,messengers and,told to_the,king )

This is an exaggeration that means the men saw these items scattered along the road as they traveled. Alternate translation: “there were clothes and equipment all along the road”
