If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these phrases, since the second phrase gives the reason for the result that the first phrase describes. The term translated as covenant faithfulness describes the obligations of a relationship. Every person has a general obligation to treat any other person generously and helpfully. That is the context in [15:6](../15/06.md), where the ULT translates this term as “kindness.” Here the context is more specific. David is reminding Jonathan that he has made a covenant with him, and the term refers to the obligations of that covenant. Alternate translation: [Then you must be faithful to your covenant with me]
