OEB Then Joab said to the man who told him, ‘So you saw him! Why did you not smite him there to the ground? And my part would have been to give you ten shekels of silver and a girdle.’

WEBBE Joab said to the man who told him, “Behold, you saw it, and why didn’t you strike him there to the ground? I would have given you ten pieces of silver and a sash.”

NET Joab replied to the man who was telling him this, “What! You saw this? Why didn’t you strike him down right on the spot? I would have given you ten pieces of silver and a commemorative belt!”
