OET (OET-LV) And_you_will_become (into)_a_horror (into)_a_byword and_(into)_a_taunt among_all_of the_peoples where he_will_drive_you_away YHWH to_(to).
OET (OET-RV) Those people in the countries that Yahweh will push you into will be horrified about you, and create sayings and jokes about you.
Note 1 topic: writing-poetry
לְשַׁמָּ֔ה לְמָשָׁ֖ל וְלִשְׁנִינָ֑ה
(Some words not found in UHB: and,you_will_become (into)_a,horror (into)_a,byword and_(into),a,taunt among,all_of the,peoples which/who he,will_drive_you_away YHWH to,(to) )
This is poetic language. Here Moses lists three terms that describe the shameful condition Israel will become among the nations. If your language has a way to indicate poetry, you could use it here. Alternate translation: [an object of terror, stories, and scorn]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns
לְשַׁמָּ֔ה לְמָשָׁ֖ל וְלִשְׁנִינָ֑ה
(Some words not found in UHB: and,you_will_become (into)_a,horror (into)_a,byword and_(into),a,taunt among,all_of the,peoples which/who he,will_drive_you_away YHWH to,(to) )
If your language does not use abstract nouns for the ideas of horror, proverb, and taunt, you could express the same ideas in other ways. Alternate translation: [something that horrifies people, something that people make proverbs about, and something that people mock]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / explicitinfo
אֲשֶׁר־יְנַהֶגְךָ֥ יְהוָ֖ה שָֽׁמָּה
(Some words not found in UHB: and,you_will_become (into)_a,horror (into)_a,byword and_(into),a,taunt among,all_of the,peoples which/who he,will_drive_you_away YHWH to,(to) )
It might seem that the expression where Yahweh will drive you there contains extra information that would not be natural to express in your language. If so, you could shorten it. Alternate translation: [where Yahweh will drive you]
OET (OET-LV) And_you_will_become (into)_a_horror (into)_a_byword and_(into)_a_taunt among_all_of the_peoples where he_will_drive_you_away YHWH to_(to).
OET (OET-RV) Those people in the countries that Yahweh will push you into will be horrified about you, and create sayings and jokes about you.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
