uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-logic-goal

פֶּן

(Some words not found in UHB: take_care to/for=yourself(m) lest forget DOM YHWH which/who he,brought_you_out from,the_land_of Miʦrayim/(Egypt) from,a_house_of slavery )

Moses is using the word lest to introduce an outcome that he does not want to happen. Because of this, he first gives the Israelites an instruction to follow so that this will not happen. Use a connector in your language that makes it clear that avoiding this outcome is the purpose of the instruction. Alternate translation: [in case]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

מִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִֽים

(Some words not found in UHB: take_care to/for=yourself(m) lest forget DOM YHWH which/who he,brought_you_out from,the_land_of Miʦrayim/(Egypt) from,a_house_of slavery )

See how you translated the phrase “from the house of slaves” in [5:6](../05/06.md). Alternate translation: [from the place where you were slaves]
