Each “long cubit” was about 54 centimeters. You may choose not to include this information if you give modern measurements instead of “cubits” as the UST does. Alternate translation: “These were the long cubits, which were the length of a regular cubit plus a handbreadth”

(Occurrence 0) a handbreadth
(Some words not found in UHB: and=see/lo/see! wall on,outside of_the,house surrounding surrounding and,in/on/at/with,hand_of the=man rod_of the,measuring six cubits in/on/at/with,cubit and,handbreadth and,measured DOM thickness_of the,wall reed one(ms) and,height reed one(ms) )
“the width of a hand.” This was about 8 centimeters.
40:5 a wall completely surrounding the Temple area: Walls regulate and define space, marking an “inside” and an “outside.” This wall was substantial; its function was to separate the “profane” area outside the Temple from the holy area inside so that this crucial distinction would never again be blurred (see 22:26).

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
