OET (OET-LV) And_he/it_said to_her/it Shimshōn if bind_me in/on/at/with_seven cords fresh which not they_have_been_dried[fn][fn] and_become_weak and_I_will_be like_one the_humankind.
OET (OET-RV) “If they’d tie me up with seven green cords that haven’t been dried,” he replied, “then I’d become weak and be just like any other man.”
Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns
If they bind me
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said to=her/it Shimshōn if bind,me in/on/at/with,seven bowstrings fresh which/who not dried and,become_weak and=I_will_be like=one the=humankind )
Here, they is an indefinite pronoun that does not have a specific referent in the immediate context. If it would be helpful in your language, you could translate this with a different expression that does not use an indefinite pronoun. Alternate translation: “If I am bound”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive
that have not been dried
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said to=her/it Shimshōn if bind,me in/on/at/with,seven bowstrings fresh which/who not dried and,become_weak and=I_will_be like=one the=humankind )
If your language does not use this passive form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “that no one has dried”
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
and I will be like one of man
(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said to=her/it Shimshōn if bind,me in/on/at/with,seven bowstrings fresh which/who not dried and,become_weak and=I_will_be like=one the=humankind )
Samson is using a common expression to mean he would become as weak as an ordinary person. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly, here and in the rest of the chapter. Alternate translation: “and I will have no more strength than anyone else”
16:7 Bowstrings were commonly made of dried animal tendons or gut. Seven was a symbolic number, perhaps connected with the Philistines’ sense of magical power. Samson seems more at home in a Philistine cultural setting than in keeping his Israelite vows that bound him as a Nazirite.

OET (OET-RV) “If they’d tie me up with seven green cords that haven’t been dried,” he replied, “then I’d become weak and be just like any other man.”
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
