The author is speaking here of the temple of Yahweh as if it were a house in which he lived. Similarly, he is speaking of the king’s palace as if it were a house. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. See how you translated the similar expression “the house of Yahweh and the house of the king” in [9:10](../09/10.md). Alternate translation: [the temple of Yahweh … the palace of the king]

The author says everything as a generalization for emphasis. If it would be clearer in your language, you could express the emphasis in a different way. Alternate translation: [And he took everything else of value that he could capture]
