OET (OET-LV) and_YHWH he_had_said to ʼAḩiyyāh HERE the_wife_of Yārāⱱəˊām/(Jeroboam) is_about_to_come to_seek a_message from_with_you concerning son_of_her if/because is_sick he like_this and_like_this you_will_speak to_her/it and_let_it_be just_as_she_comes and_she will_be_acting_as_a_stranger.
OET (OET-RV) but Yahweh had told him, “Listen, Yarave’am’s wife will be coming to ask for your guidance about her son, because he’s sick. I want you to tell her so-and-so. And when she comes, she won’t be dressed like a queen.”
Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-logic-result
אֵ֣שֶׁת יָרָבְעָ֡ם בָּאָ֣ה לִדְרֹשׁ֩ דָּבָ֨ר מֵעִמְּךָ֤ אֶל־בְּנָהּ֙ כִּֽי־חֹלֶ֣ה ה֔וּא
(Some words not found in UHB: and,Yahweh he/it_had_said to/towards ʼAḩiyyāh see/lo/see! wife_of Yārāⱱəˊām/(Jeroboam) coming to,seek message from,with,you to/towards son_of,her that/for/because/then/when sick he/it like,this and,like,this say to=her/it and=let_it_be just,as,she_comes and=she pretended_to_be_another_woman )
If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these phrases, since the second phrase gives the reason for the result that the first phrase describes. Alternate translation: [since the son of the wife of Jeroboam is sick, she is coming to seek a word from you about him]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
לִדְרֹשׁ֩ דָּבָ֨ר מֵעִמְּךָ֤
to,seek (Some words not found in UHB: and,Yahweh he/it_had_said to/towards ʼAḩiyyāh see/lo/see! wife_of Yārāⱱəˊām/(Jeroboam) coming to,seek message from,with,you to/towards son_of,her that/for/because/then/when sick he/it like,this and,like,this say to=her/it and=let_it_be just,as,she_comes and=she pretended_to_be_another_woman )
Here, word represents a response from Yahweh. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [to seek an answer from you] or [to ask you a question]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / infostructure
כָּזֹ֥ה וְכָזֶ֖ה תְּדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֶ֑יהָ וִיהִ֣י כְבֹאָ֔הּ וְהִ֖יא מִתְנַכֵּרָֽה
(Some words not found in UHB: and,Yahweh he/it_had_said to/towards ʼAḩiyyāh see/lo/see! wife_of Yārāⱱəˊām/(Jeroboam) coming to,seek message from,with,you to/towards son_of,her that/for/because/then/when sick he/it like,this and,like,this say to=her/it and=let_it_be just,as,she_comes and=she pretended_to_be_another_woman )
If it would be more natural in your language, you may want to put the information about Jeroboam’s wife disguising herself before the information about what Ahijah should say to her. Alternate translation: [And it will happen when she comes that she will be disguising herself. Like this and like this you shall speak to her]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / quotations
כָּזֹ֥ה וְכָזֶ֖ה תְּדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֶ֑יהָ
(Some words not found in UHB: and,Yahweh he/it_had_said to/towards ʼAḩiyyāh see/lo/see! wife_of Yārāⱱəˊām/(Jeroboam) coming to,seek message from,with,you to/towards son_of,her that/for/because/then/when sick he/it like,this and,like,this say to=her/it and=let_it_be just,as,she_comes and=she pretended_to_be_another_woman )
Yahweh did not actually say the words Like this and like this. The author is using that expression to summarize what Yahweh told Ahijah to say to Jeroboam’s wife. If it would be more natural in your language, you could express this as an indirect quotation. You could stop the direct quotation at the end of the previous sentence and begin it again at the start of the next sentence. If you have already translated the book of 2 Samuel, see what you decided to do in the case of the same expression in [2 Samuel 17:15](../2sa/17/15.md). Alternate translation: [Yahweh told Ahijah what to say to Jeroboam’s wife. Then he continued,]
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
The author is using Like this and like this as a common expression of his culture. If you decide to translate everything Yahweh says here as a direct quotation, your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation. Alternate translation: [You shall speak to her in such-and-such a way]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
