David is speaking to the mountains of Gilboa as if they could hear him. He is doing this to show in a strong way how he feels about the deaths of Saul and Jonathan on those mountains. He is actually speaking to the people who can hear him, the people of Judah who will eventually learn this song. If this would not be clear to your readers, you could translate his words as if he were speaking directly to people who could hear him. Alternate translation: [May there be no dew or rain, nor fields of offerings, upon the mountains in Gilboa]
