TSNTyndale Study Notes:

2:1-5 The sanctuary had been set up at Gilgal (Josh 4:19-20; 5:10); Bokim is an unknown place, where the angel of the Lord gave an announcement that led to weeping and an attempt to reverse the judgment by offering sacrifice.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

וַֽיִּקְרְא֛וּ שֵֽׁם־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא בֹּכִ֑ים

and,called name_of the,place (the)=that Bokīm

The author assumes that his readers will know that Bokim means “weepers.” If it would be helpful to your readers, you could provide this information in a footnote, or you could put it in the text of your translation, as the UST does.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicitinfo

וַֽיִּקְרְא֛וּ שֵֽׁם־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא

and,called name_of the,place (the)=that

It might seem that the expression they called the name of that place contains extra information that would be unnatural to express in your language. If so, you can shorten it. See how you translated the same expression in 1:17. Alternate translation: “So they called that place”
