OET (OET-LV) And_cook and_you(ms)_will_eat in/on/at/with_place which he_will_choose YHWH god_of_your in/on/over_him/it and_turn in/on/at/with_morning and_return to_tents_of_your.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis
וּבִשַּׁלְתָּ֙ וְאָ֣כַלְתָּ֔
and,cook and=you(ms)_will_eat
Moses is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You could supply these words from the previous verse if it would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [And you shall cook the meat and eat it]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicitinfo
בַּמָּק֕וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִבְחַ֛ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ בּ֑וֹ
in/on/at/with,place which/who choose YHWH God_of,your in/on/over=him/it
See how you translated the similar phrase in [16:2](../16/02.md). For more information, see the discussion of this phrase in the Introduction to this chapter. Alternate translation: [in the place which Yahweh your God will choose]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom
וּפָנִ֣יתָ בַבֹּ֔קֶר וְהָלַכְתָּ֖
and,turn in/on/at/with,morning and,return
Here, turn is a common expression that means “take action.” If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and in the morning you shall go back]
16:1-8 The Passover (Hebrew pesakh) was the festival marking Israel’s deliverance from the tenth plague and from bondage in Egypt (see Exod 11–12; Lev 23:5-8).
• The Exodus was such a significant event in Israel’s history that the month of Abib, when the Exodus took place, became the beginning of Israel’s annual calendar (see Exod 12:2).
OET (OET-LV) And_cook and_you(ms)_will_eat in/on/at/with_place which he_will_choose YHWH god_of_your in/on/over_him/it and_turn in/on/at/with_morning and_return to_tents_of_your.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
