OET (OET-LV) Maria/(Miryām) the from_Magdala Is_coming announcing to_the apprentices/followers, that I_have_seen the master, and he_said these things to_her.
OET (OET-RV) So Maria went and told the trainees, “I’ve seen the master,” and she told them what he’d said.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / pastforfuture
ἔρχεται
/is/_coming
Here John uses the present tense in past narration in order to call attention to a development in the story.
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / go
ἔρχεται Μαριὰμ ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ
/is/_coming Mary the Magdalene
Your language may state “goes” rather than comes in contexts such as this. Use whichever is more natural. Alternate translation: “Mary Magdalene goes”
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis
ἔρχεται Μαριὰμ ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ
/is/_coming Mary the Magdalene
John is leaving out some of the words that a clause would need in many languages to be complete. If it would be helpful in your language, you could supply these words from the context. Alternate translation: “Mary Magdalene comes to where the disciples were staying”
20:18 Mary was the first eyewitness to see the Lord following his resurrection. She not only saw him, she heard him and touched him (see 1 Jn 1:1-4). This great privilege was given to a woman whose broken life had experienced healing (Luke 8:2). In Jewish culture this was astounding; a woman could not even be a witness in court. No Jew in this period would make up such a story.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
