This second sentence in the verse means basically the same thing as the first one. However, it is not redundant or unnecessary. The author is building up to his statement in [6:27](../06/27.md) that the wings of the cherubs stretched across the entire 20-cubit width of the Holy of Holies. The movement from five to ten to an implied twenty creates a sense of majesty around these cherubs, which represented the presence of Yahweh in his temple. It would be good to give your readers the experience the author intended by including this sentence separately in your translation rather than combining it with the first sentence in some way.

The author is describing the distance from one extreme to another in the way that was characteristic of his culture. He uses the plural form ends where other languages might use a singular form. In your translation, express this the way people of your culture would describe the distance between two extremes. Alternate translation: [It was ten cubits from one end of its wings to the other]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
