OET (OET-LV) And_what will_he_increase Dāvid again to_speak to_you and_you(ms) you_know DOM servant_of_your my_master YHWH.
OET (OET-RV) What more can I, David say to you? But my master Yahweh, you yourself know your servant.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion
וּמַה־יּוֹסִ֥יף דָּוִ֛ד ע֖וֹד לְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֶ֑יךָ
and,what? again (Some words not found in UHB: and,what? again Dāvid again/more to,speak to,you and=you(ms) know DOM servant_of,your my=master GOD )
David is using the question form to express that he is too overwhelmed to say anything more. If a speaker of your language would not use the question form for that purpose, you could translate this as a statement or as an exclamation. Alternate translation: [I find that I am now at a loss for words!]
Note 2 topic: writing-pronouns
וְאַתָּ֛ה יָדַ֥עְתָּ אֶֽת־עַבְדְּךָ֖
(Some words not found in UHB: and,what? again Dāvid again/more to,speak to,you and=you(ms) know DOM servant_of,your my=master GOD )
David is stating the pronoun you separately, even though the verb translated as you know already includes this meaning. He is doing that in order to contrast Yahweh’s knowledge of what he is thinking and feeling with his own inability to say anything further. If a speaker of your language would use an explicit pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of showing the meaning here. Alternate translation: [But for your part, you know your servant]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
וְאַתָּ֛ה יָדַ֥עְתָּ אֶֽת־עַבְדְּךָ֖
(Some words not found in UHB: and,what? again Dāvid again/more to,speak to,you and=you(ms) know DOM servant_of,your my=master GOD )
Here, your servant represents what David wants to say. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [But you certainly know what I, your servant, want to say]
OET (OET-LV) And_what will_he_increase Dāvid again to_speak to_you and_you(ms) you_know DOM servant_of_your my_master YHWH.
OET (OET-RV) What more can I, David say to you? But my master Yahweh, you yourself know your servant.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
