OET (OET-LV) And_it_was_small yet this_thing in_eyes_of_your my_master YHWH and_you_have_spoken also concerning the_house_of your_servant_of_your (to)_from_distant_time and_this is_the_manner_of the_humankind my_master YHWH.
OET (OET-RV) But that was just minor to you, my master Yahweh. You also spoke about the distant future for my descendants.

וַתִּקְטַן֩ ע֨וֹד זֹ֤את בְּעֵינֶ֨יךָ֙
(Some words not found in UHB: and,it_was_small again/more this(f) in,eyes_of,your my=master GOD and,you_have_spoken also/yet to/towards house_of your_servant_of,your (to)_from,distant,[time] and,this instruction_of the=humankind my=master GOD )
David is using this was small in your eyes as a common expression of his culture to mean “you considered this to be insignificant.” If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [And you considered even this a small thing]

בֵּֽית־עַבְדְּךָ֖
(Some words not found in UHB: and,it_was_small again/more this(f) in,eyes_of,your my=master GOD and,you_have_spoken also/yet to/towards house_of your_servant_of,your (to)_from,distant,[time] and,this instruction_of the=humankind my=master GOD )
David is speaking of himself in the third person as your servant to show humility. If it would be helpful in your language, you could translate this in a humble form in the first person, here and in the rest of this chapter. Alternate translation: [my house]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
בֵּֽית־עַבְדְּךָ֖
(Some words not found in UHB: and,it_was_small again/more this(f) in,eyes_of,your my=master GOD and,you_have_spoken also/yet to/towards house_of your_servant_of,your (to)_from,distant,[time] and,this instruction_of the=humankind my=master GOD )
Here, house means all the people descended from a particular person. It envisions them as if they were one household living together. So the house of your servant figuratively means all the people who would descend from David. Alternate translation: [my descendants]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit
וְזֹ֛את תּוֹרַ֥ת הָאָדָ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה
and,this instruction_of the=humankind my=master GOD
This could mean: (1) that David is marveling that Yahweh has established the perpetual reign of his descendants as a law that people must obey. Alternate translation: [And you, my Lord Yahweh, have made the perpetual reign of my descendants a law that people must obey!]; (2) that David is marveling that Yahweh has said that if his descendants do wrong, he will correct them with human-style discipline, not destroy them with divine judgments ([verse 14](../07/14.md)). Alternate translation: [And you, my Lord Yahweh, have said that you will not destroy my descendants if they do wrong but correct them as humans discipline their children!]
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / gendernotations
הָאָדָ֖ם
the=humankind
Here the masculine term man has a generic sense that includes both men and women. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could use language in your translation that is clearly inclusive of both men and women. Alternate translation: [human beings]

OET (OET-RV) But that was just minor to you, my master Yahweh. You also spoke about the distant future for my descendants.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
