OET (OET-RV) You must have a spade among your equipment so that when you go to relieve yourself, you can dig a hole and then cover it up afterwards,

וְיָתֵ֛ד תִּהְיֶ֥ה לְךָ֖
(Some words not found in UHB: and,a_hand you(ms)_will_be to/for=yourself(m) from_[the],outside of,camp and,you_will_go_out to,(to) out )
The term spade refers to a digging tool. In this context, it may have been a small shovel or simply a stick that soldiers would carry with them to dig holes and cover their excrement. If your readers would not be familiar with this kind of tool, you could use the name of a similar tool that your readers would recognize, or you could use a more general term. Alternate translation: [and you shall use a digging tool]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / euphemism
בְּשִׁבְתְּךָ֣ ח֔וּץ
(Some words not found in UHB: and,a_hand you(ms)_will_be to/for=yourself(m) from_[the],outside of,camp and,you_will_go_out to,(to) out )
Moses is referring to defecating in a polite way by using the phrase sitting yourself out. Depending on what is helpful in your language, you could use a polite way of referring to this in your language, or you could state this plainly. Alternate translation: [when you relieve yourself] or [when you go to attend to your needs]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / ellipsis
וְשַׁבְתָּ֖
(Some words not found in UHB: and,a_hand you(ms)_will_be to/for=yourself(m) from_[the],outside of,camp and,you_will_go_out to,(to) out )
Moses is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [and put the dirt back]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
