23:10 Note: KJB: Deut.23.9
OET (OET-RV) If something happens at night to make a man ‘unclean’, then he must stay outside the camp the next day and not join the others.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / genericnoun
אִ֔ישׁ
(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when go_out encamp on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in enemies_of,your and,you_will_keep_yourself from=all thing evil )
Here, a man represents any man in general, not a specific man. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could use an expression that would be more natural in your language. Alternate translation: [any man] or [anyone]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / euphemism
אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹא־יִהְיֶ֥ה טָה֖וֹר מִקְּרֵה־לָ֑יְלָה
(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when go_out encamp on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in enemies_of,your and,you_will_keep_yourself from=all thing evil )
Moses is referring to a man having a nocturnal emission in a polite way by using the phrase not clean, happening at night. Depending on what is helpful in your language, you could use a polite way of referring to this in your language, or you could state this plainly. Alternate translation: [who becomes unclean because of something that happens while he sleeps] or [who has a bodily discharge during the night]

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
