Here Moses is speaking of the skies as if they were bronze and of the earth as if it were iron. He means that the sky will become hard like bronze and will not give rain, and the ground will become hard like iron and will not produce crops. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [the sky above you will give no rain and the ground beneath you will be too hard to plow]
