OET (OET-LV)And he_is_saying to_them:
We_may_be_going elsewhere into the neighboring villages, in_order_that also there I_may_proclaim, because/for I_came_out for this reason.

OET (OET-RV)And Yeshua answered, “Well, we’ll be going into the other villages around here, so that I can also tell them. That’s what I came here for.

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-logic-result

ἄγωμεν ἀλλαχοῦ εἰς τὰς ἐχομένας κωμοπόλεις, ἵνα καὶ ἐκεῖ κηρύξω; εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ἐξῆλθον

˱we˲_/may_be/_going elsewhere into the neighboring villages in_order_that also there ˱I˲_/may/_proclaim for this_‹reason› for ˱I˲_came_out

If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these clauses, since the last clause gives the reason for the result that the first clauses describe. Alternate translation: [Because I went out to preach in many places, let us go elsewhere, into the surrounding towns, so that I may preach there also]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

ἄγωμεν ἀλλαχοῦ

˱we˲_/may_be/_going elsewhere

Here Jesus implies that he will not go back to Capernaum to meet all the people who were looking for him. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make that idea more explicit. Alternate translation: [Instead of going back to Capernaum, let us go elsewhere]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / extrainfo

ἐξῆλθον

˱I˲_came_out

Here Jesus does not start where he went out from. He may be referring to how he left Capernaum, or he may be referring to how he came to the world as a human being, or he may be implying to both of these meanings. If possible, do not indicate where Jesus went out from. Alternate translation: [I came] or [I went here]

Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / go

ἐξῆλθον

˱I˲_came_out

In a context such as this, your language might say “came” instead of went. Alternate translation: [I came out]

Note 5 topic: writing-pronouns

εἰς τοῦτο

into for this_‹reason›

The pronoun this refers to Jesus preaching in the surrounding towns. If this is not clear for your readers, you could refer to that action more directly. Alternate translation: [to do that very thing] or [to preach in many places]

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

1:38-39 Prayer (1:35) equipped Jesus to preach, teach, heal, and cast out demons.
• Jesus’ mission in Galilee centered on preaching in the synagogues, where he took the opportunity to speak (1:21; Luke 4:16-30). Paul later used this same opportunity (Acts 13:5, 14-15; 14:1; 16:13; 17:1).
• Jesus counted on Jewish hospitality when he traveled (cp. Mark 6:10; Gen 18:1-8; 19:1-8; Luke 10:7; Heb 13:2; 3 Jn 1:5-8).
• The region of Galilee was roughly forty miles north to south and twenty-five miles east to west (sixty-five by forty kilometers). In Jesus’ day, Galilee was ruled by Herod Antipas.
