uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / synecdoche

פֶּן־תִּגֹּ֖ף בָּאֶ֣בֶן רַגְלֶֽךָ

(Some words not found in UHB: on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in hands they,will,lift_you_up lest strike on,stone foot_of,your )

The psalmist is using one harmful thing that might happen to a person, hitting his foot against a stone, to mean every kind of harmful thing that might happen to a person. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [so that harmful things do not happen to you]

Note 2 topic: grammar-connect-logic-goal

פֶּן־תִּגֹּ֖ף בָּאֶ֣בֶן רַגְלֶֽךָ

(Some words not found in UHB: on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in hands they,will,lift_you_up lest strike on,stone foot_of,your )

The psalmist is using the word translated as lest to introduce an outcome that he does not want to happen. Because of this, he first reassures the person he is addressing that God’s angels will protect him so that this will not happen. Use a connector in your language that makes it clear that avoiding this outcome is the purpose of the instruction. Alternate translation: [Otherwise, you might hit your foot against a stone] or [Otherwise, harmful things might happen to you]
