OET (OET-RV) and begged Shemuel, “Pray to your God Yahweh for your servants, so that we won’t die, because we’ve added more evil onto all our previous sins by requesting a king for ourselves.”

הִתְפַּלֵּ֧ל בְּעַד־עֲבָדֶ֛יךָ אֶל־יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ וְאַל־נָמ֑וּת כִּֽי־יָסַ֤פְנוּ עַל־כָּל־חַטֹּאתֵ֨ינוּ֙ רָעָ֔ה לִשְׁאֹ֥ל לָ֖נוּ מֶֽלֶךְ
pray behind your=servants to/towards YHWH God_of,your and,not die that/for/because/then/when added on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in all/each/any/every sins_of,our evil of,requesting to/for=us king
If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these phrases, since the second phrase gives the reason for the request that the first phrase describes. Alternate translation: [We have added evil onto all of our sins by requesting a king for ourselves. So pray for your servants to Yahweh your God, so that we may not die]
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / 123person
עֲבָדֶ֛יךָ
your=servants
The Israelites are speaking of themselves in the third person as a sign of humility. If it would be more natural in your language, you could translate this in the first person. Alternate translation: [us, your servants]
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
יָסַ֤פְנוּ עַל־כָּל־חַטֹּאתֵ֨ינוּ֙ רָעָ֔ה
added on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in all/each/any/every sins_of,our evil
The Israelites are speaking as if evil were an object that could be added onto something. If it would be clearer in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [we have committed this evil act in addition to all of our other sins]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns
רָעָ֔ה
evil
If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of evil, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [this evil act]
12:19 The people asked Samuel to intercede for them (see also 7:8) rather than praying themselves probably because they were out of fellowship with God (note the use of your God rather than “our God”).
• added to our sins: The sins included idol worship (12:21; see study note on 8:8).
OET (OET-LV) And_ all_of _they_said the_people to Shəmūʼēl pray for your_servants to YHWH god_of_your and_not we_will_die if/because we_have_added to all_of sins_of_our an_evil_thing of_requesting to/for_us a_king.
OET (OET-RV) and begged Shemuel, “Pray to your God Yahweh for your servants, so that we won’t die, because we’ve added more evil onto all our previous sins by requesting a king for ourselves.”
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
