Note: This view shows ‘verses’ which are not natural language units and hence sometimes only part of a sentence will be visible. Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

(Locutus it_is too Salomon tria thousands parabolas: and fuerunt carmina his quinque and mille. )
4.32 And fuerunt carmina his. Constat nor carmina nor disputationes Salomonis hodie esse. Quinque millia. Because quinque sensus, quos, who in diversis virtutibus bene regit, beatus it_is, and through them as_if carmina quinque thousands Master canit.
4:32-34 proverbs . . . songs: Solomon wrote much of the book of Proverbs and composed Pss 72 and 127. His knowledge of plants and animals reflected his careful observation of nature (see Prov 6:6-8). Solomon’s wisdom and literary prowess (see Matt 12:42) are reflected in the Song of Songs and Ecclesiastes. No wonder many, including kings (1 Kgs 10:1-9), sought the wisdom of Solomon.
