OET (OET-LV) And_say to the_elders_of city_of_his son_of_ours this is_stubborn and_rebellious not_he is_listening in/on/at/with_voice_of_us he_is_a_glutton and_drunkard.
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / you
Moses continues speaking to the people of Israel as if they were one man, so all instances of “you” are singular.

(Some words not found in UHB: and,say to/towards elders_of city_of,his son_of,ours this stubborn and,rebellious not,he obey in/on/at/with,voice_of,us glutton and,drunkard )
Alternate translation: [Our son]

(Some words not found in UHB: and,say to/towards elders_of city_of,his son_of,ours this stubborn and,rebellious not,he obey in/on/at/with,voice_of,us glutton and,drunkard )
Here “voice” is a metonym for what a person says or a synecdoche for the whole person. Alternate translation: [he will not do what we tell him to do] or [he will not obey us] (See also: figs-synecdoche)
(Occurrence 0) a glutton
(Some words not found in UHB: and,say to/towards elders_of city_of,his son_of,ours this stubborn and,rebellious not,he obey in/on/at/with,voice_of,us glutton and,drunkard )
a person who eats and drinks too much
(Occurrence 0) a drunkard
(Some words not found in UHB: and,say to/towards elders_of city_of,his son_of,ours this stubborn and,rebellious not,he obey in/on/at/with,voice_of,us glutton and,drunkard )
a person who drinks too much alcohol and gets drunk often
21:20 Calling someone a glutton and a drunkard was probably a proverbial cliché suggesting self-indulgence and laziness. Such a son was a good-for-nothing who rebelled against his parents and thus also against the community and divine authority (see Prov 23:20-21).
OET (OET-LV) And_say to the_elders_of city_of_his son_of_ours this is_stubborn and_rebellious not_he is_listening in/on/at/with_voice_of_us he_is_a_glutton and_drunkard.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
Acknowledgements: The Hebrew text, lemmas, and morphology are all thanks to the OSHB and some of the glosses are from Macula Hebrew.
