(Occurrence 0) Son of man
(Some words not found in UHB: son_of humankind set face_of,your road/way_of south,to and,preach to/towards south and,prophesy to/towards forest_of the=field Negeⱱ )
“Son of a human being” or “Son of humanity or “Mortal person” or “Human.” God calls Ezekiel this to emphasize that Ezekiel is only a human being. God is eternal and powerful, but humans are not. See how you translated this in [Ezekiel 2:1](../02/01.md).

(Occurrence 0) set your face toward Jerusalem
(Some words not found in UHB: son_of humankind set face_of,your road/way_of south,to and,preach to/towards south and,prophesy to/towards forest_of the=field Negeⱱ )
This is a command to stare at Jerusalem as a symbol of punishing the people there. Alternate translation: “stare at Jerusalem” or “stare at Jerusalem so that the people there will be harmed”

(Occurrence 0) set your face toward Jerusalem
(Some words not found in UHB: son_of humankind set face_of,your road/way_of south,to and,preach to/towards south and,prophesy to/towards forest_of the=field Negeⱱ )
Jerusalem was far away, so Ezekiel could not see it, but staring in that direction would be a symbol of harming it. See how you translated a similar phrase in [Ezekiel 6:2](../06/02.md) Alternate translation: “Turn toward Jerusalem and stare” or “stare toward Jerusalem so that the people there will be harmed”
21:1-32 This chapter is unified by references to a sword (21:3-5, 9, 11-12, 14-16, 19, 28-30), which in each case depicts God’s judgment.

Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
