OET (OET-RV) So the Danites sent out five capable men (from Zorah and from Eshtaol) to scout out the region and explore it. They had told them, “Go and explore the area.” They came to the Efraimite hill country, as far as Micah’s house, and spent the night there.

sons of valor
(Some words not found in UHB: and,sent sons_of Dān from,clan,their five men from,whole,their men sons_of valiant from,Zorah and,from,Eshtaol to,spy_out DOM the=earth/land and,to,explore,it and=they_said to,them go explore DOM the=earth/land and=they_came hill_country ʼEfrayim until house_of Mīkāh and,spent_the_night there )
As the General Introduction to Judges discusses, in certain contexts, the biblical text uses the expression sons of to mean that people are characterized by a particular quality. That is the case here. If it would be helpful to your readers, you could use an equivalent expression from your language or state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “valiant warriors”
Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / doublet
to spy on the land and to examine it
(Some words not found in UHB: and,sent sons_of Dān from,clan,their five men from,whole,their men sons_of valiant from,Zorah and,from,Eshtaol to,spy_out DOM the=earth/land and,to,explore,it and=they_said to,them go explore DOM the=earth/land and=they_came hill_country ʼEfrayim until house_of Mīkāh and,spent_the_night there )
The terms spy on and examine mean similar things. The author is using the two terms together for emphasis. If it would be clearer for your readers, you could express the emphasis with a single phrase. Alternate translation: “to explore the land thoroughly”
Note 4 topic: writing-pronouns
And they said to them
(Some words not found in UHB: and,sent sons_of Dān from,clan,their five men from,whole,their men sons_of valiant from,Zorah and,from,Eshtaol to,spy_out DOM the=earth/land and,to,explore,it and=they_said to,them go explore DOM the=earth/land and=they_came hill_country ʼEfrayim until house_of Mīkāh and,spent_the_night there )
The pronoun they refers to the leaders of the tribe of Dan, and the pronoun them refers to the five men. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: “And the leaders of Dan said to these five men”
Note 5 topic: writing-pronouns

The pronoun there refers to the hill country of Ephraim. The next verse shows that the men were near but not in the house of Micah. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: “in that area”
18:2 Zorah and Eshtaol: Scouts were selected from the area where the Spirit of the Lord began to stir Samson (13:25). The mention of the two towns is a grim reminder that what began with Samson had not been completed, either by his own tribe (Dan) or by their powerful neighbor (Judah). These capable warriors, rather than fighting the Lord’s battles, bullied their fellow Israelites (18:24-25) and attacked a defenseless city (18:27; cp. Gen 49:17).
