וּ⁠מָצָ֣אתָ אֶת־לְבָב⁠וֹ֮ נֶאֱמָ֣ן לְ⁠פָנֶי⁠ךָ֒

Here, found is an idiom for someone discovering something to be true. It does not mean that God was looking for something he had lost. Alternate translation: [You recognized that he was completely loyal to you]

To cut a covenant is a Hebrew idiom for making a solemn agreement with a person. The expression comes from the way animals were cut into pieces during covenant ceremonies to show what the parties wanted God to do to anyone who broke the agreement. But the meaning here is idiomatic. It is not a direct reference to such a ceremony, but only to the making of the covenant. Alternate translation: [you made an agreement with him] or [you made a promise to him]

As in [verse 2](../09/02.md), seed means “descendants.” Alternate translation: [to his descendants]

As in [5:13](../05/13.md), words means the promises that God made to Abraham, and stand means stay in place rather than go away. The Levites are speaking of God’s promises as if they were a living thing that could move around or not. Alternate translation: [you have kept all of your promises]
