ULT Then Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks, he gave them to the ones reclining to eat; likewise also with the fish, as much as they wanted.
UST Jesus then took the little loaves of barley bread, and he thanked God for the food. Then he and his disciples gave the loaves to the people who were sitting on the grass in order to eat. He did the same with the two fish. The people ate all the fish and bread that they wanted to eat.

6:11 The modest meal provided the crowd with as much as they wanted, echoing the miraculous provision of manna in the wilderness (Exod 16:35). Moses had first supplied Israel with heavenly bread; Jesus was the new supplier.
