Literal Version

12:1 Everything hidden will be revealed

(Mat. 10:26-27)

12[ref]By then the crowd had grown to many thousands, so much so that they were trampling on each other. Meanwhile Yeshua told his followers, “Make sure that you’re not influenced by the hypocrisy of the Pharisee party—it spreads around like yeast in bread dough. 2[ref]But everything that’s covered up now, will be uncovered in the future, and everything that’s now hidden will revealed. 3Anything that you whispered in the dark will be heard in the light, and anything that was only for certain ears in a private room will be announced from the rooftops.

12In which things the tens_of_thousands of_the crowd, having_been_gathered_together, so_as to_be_trampling one_another, he_began to_be_saying to the apprentices/followers of_him first:
Be_taking_heed to_yourselves of the leaven, of_the Farisaios_party, which is hypocrisy.
2But there_is nothing having_been_covered_up, which will_ not _be_being_revealed, and hidden which will_ not _be_being_known.
3Instead_of that as_much_as you_all_said in the darkness, will_be_being_heard in the light, and what you_all_spoke to the ear in the private_rooms, will_be_being_proclaimed on the housetops.

12:4 Who to be afraid of

(Mat. 10:28-31)

4And I’m telling you, my friends, that you shouldn’t be afraid of those who can kill your body (and after that they don’t have anything more that they can do). 5But I’ll tell you who you should be afraid of: Be afraid of the one who has the authority to throw you into hell after you’re dead—yes, that’s who you should be afraid of.

6Aren’t five small birds sold for just a couple of small coins? Yet not one of those birds is forgotten by God. 7Yes, God even knows the number of hairs on your head so don’t worry, each one of you is of more value than a whole flock of birds.

4And I_am_saying to_you_all, the friends of_me, be_ not _afraid of of_the ones killing_off the body, and after these things not having anything more_abundant to_do.
5But I_will_be_showing to_you_all whom you_may_be_afraid:
be_afraid of_the one after the time to_kill_off, having authority to_throw_in him into the geenna, yes, I_am_saying to_you_all, be_fearing this one.
6are_ not five sparrows _being_sold for_ two _assarions?
And not one of them is having_been_forgotten before the god.
7But even the hairs of_the head of_you_all all have_been_numbered.
Be_ not _fearing, you_all_are_carrying_value than many sparrows.

12:8 Disowning the messiah

(Mat. 10:32-33)

8I’m telling you that everyone who admits in public to following me, so too humanity’s child will tell your name to God’s messengers, 9but anyone who disowns me in public will be disowned in front of God’s messengers.

10[ref]Everyone who says something against humanity’s child will be forgiven, but those who speak against the holy spirit won’t be forgiven.

11[ref]Whenever you get dragged into the meeting halls or in front of rulers or authorities, don’t worry about how you’ll defend yourselves or what you’ll say, 12because the holy spirit will show you all the right thing to say at the right time.

8And I_am_saying to_you_all, everyone who wishfully may_confess in me before the people, also the son of_ the _man will_be_confessing, in him before the messengers of_ the _god, 9but the one having_disowned me before the people, will_be_being_renounced before the messengers of_ the _god.
10And everyone who will_be_saying a_message against the son of_ the _Man, will_be_being_forgiven to_him, but to_the one having_slandered against the holy spirit, will_ not _be_being_forgiven.
11And whenever they_may_be_carrying_in you_all before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, you_all_may_ not _worry how or what you_all_may_defend or what you_all_may_say, 12for/because the holy spirit will_be_teaching you_all in the_same the hour what it_is_fitting to_say.

12:13 The parable about accumulating wealth

13Then someone in the crowd said, “Teacher, tell my brother to give me a share of our father’s estate.”

14Man,” Yeshua responded, “who said that I’m the judge or arbitrator over you all? 15Then he told them, “Keep alert to avoid all greediness, because a person’s life is not about gaining lots of possessions.

16Then he told them all this parable, “One time a rich man’s farm produced a really good harvest. 17So he started figuring out what do do, ‘What should I do because I don’t have anywhere to store my harvest.’ 18‘Ah,’ he said, ‘I know what I’ll do. I’ll knock down my barns and build bigger ones, and then I’ll store all my grain and other produce in there. 19Then I’ll be able to tell my soul: Soul, you’ve got enough good things now to be able to relax for many years of resting, eating, drinking, and being happy.’ 20But God said to him, ‘How foolish! Tonight I’ll be demanding your soul and then who will everything you stored up go to?’

21So that’s the end of someone who accumulated so much for himself, but wasn’t rich in God’s eyes.

13And someone from the crowd said to_him:
Teacher, tell to_the brother of_me to_divide the inheritance with me.
14But he he_said to_him:
Man, who me appointed a_judge or arbitrator over you_all?
15And he_said to them:
Be_watching and be_keeping from all greediness, because the life of_him is not in the thing to_be_being_plentiful to_anyone, of the things possessing to_him.
16And he_spoke a_parable to them saying:
The land of_a_ certain rich _man yielded_well.
17And he_was_reasoning by himself saying:
What I_may_do, because I_am_ not _having where I_will_be_gathering_together the fruits of_me?
18And he_said:
This I_will_be_doing:
I_will_be_taking_down the barns and greater barns of_me and I_will_be_building, I_will_be_gathering_together there all the grain and the good things of_me.
19And I_will_be_saying to_the soul of_me:
Soul, you_are_having many good things lying for many years, be_resting, eat, drink, be_being_gladdened.
20But the god said to_him:
Foolish, on_this the night, requesting of you the soul of_you, and what you_prepared, to_whom it_will_be?
21Thus the one storing_up for_himself and not being_rich toward god.

12:22 Priorities and trusting God

(Mat. 6:25-34)

22Then Yeshua told his followers, “That’s why I’m telling you all not to worry about your lifestyle: what to eat or what to wear, 23because your life is more than food and your body is more than clothing. 24Look at the ravens. They don’t plant seeds or harvest crops and they have no storerooms or barns, yet God keeps them fed, and humans are worth a lot more than birds. 25Which of you can add even an hour to your life by spending more time worrying? 26So if you can’t even do something small like that, why worry about bigger things. 27[ref]Look at how the lilies grow. They don’t go to work or make fabric, yet even King Solomon at the height of his fame wasn’t dressed as well as one of them. 28So if God dresses the weeds in the paddock that are here today and incinerated tomorrow, how much more would he look after you all—you with little faith?

29So don’t all be looking for what to eat or to drink, and don’t waste time by worrying 30because people in every country in the world are looking for that, but your father already knows that you need those things. 31Rather you should be striving to enter his kingdom, and then all these things will come as a bonus.

22And he_said to the apprentices/followers Because_of this I_am_saying to_you_all, be_ not _worrying for_your life, what you_all_may_eat nor for_the body what you_all_may_dress_in.
23For/Because your life is more than the food, and the body than the clothing.
24Observe the ravens, because they_are_ not _sowing nor are_they_reaping, to_which not is a_storeroom nor barn, and the god is_feeding them.
For/Because_how_much more you_all are_carrying_value than the birds.
25And which of you_all worrying, is_able to_add an_hour to the lifespan of_him?
26Therefore if you_all_are_ not_even _being_able the_least, why are_you_all_worrying about the rest?
27Observe the lilies how it_is_growing, neither it_is_labouring nor it_is_spinning, but I_am_saying to_you_all, not_even Solomōn/(Shəlmoh) in all the glory of_him, clothed as one of_these.
28But if the god is_ thus _dressing the grass in the_field being here today, and tomorrow being_thrown into a_furnace, for_how_much rather you_all, little_faith ones?
29Also you_all be_ not _seeking what you_all_may_eat, or what you_all_may_drink, and be_ not _being_worried.
30For/Because all the nations of_the world are_seeking_after these things, but the father of_you_all has_known that you_all_are_needing of_these things.
31However be_seeking the kingdom of_him, and these things will_be_being_added to_you_all.

12:32 Focus on heavenly wealth

(Mat. 6:19-21)

32Don’t be afraid, little flock, because actually your father takes pleasure in giving you the entire kingdom. 33Sell what you own and give to the poor and so store your wealth in heaven where it won’t deteriorate or get lost or stolen from you, 34because where your wealth is stored, that’s where your mind will be focused.

32Be_ not _fearing, the little flock, because the father of_you_all took_pleasure, to_give to_you_all the kingdom.
33Sell the things possessing of_you_all, and give alms.
Make to_yourselves purses not being_grown_old, a_treasure inexhaustible in the heavens, where thief is_ not _nearing nor moth is_ruining.
34For/Because where is the treasure of_you_all, there also the heart of_you_all will_be.

12:35 The well-prepared slave

35[ref]Get up and get dressed and get the lamps burning 36[ref]like someone who’s waiting for their master. When he leaves the wedding celebrations and comes and knocks, you’ll be ready to immediately open the door. 37The master would bless the slaves that are ready, watching for when he arrives. I can assure you that he’ll dress himself and then he’ll seat them on couches and come and serve them there himself. 38If he arrives around midnight or even in the small hours of the morning, he’ll find them ready. Yes, they’ll be blessed. 39[ref]But you should also know this: if the home-owner knew what time the thief would arrive, he’d be ready watching and not allow his house to be burgled. 40So you all need to be ready because you don’t know when I, humanity’s child, am going to arrive.

35Let_be the loins of_you_all having_been_girded_about, and the lamps being_burned, 36and you_all similar to_people waiting_for the master of_themselves, when he_may_depart from the wedding_festivities, in_order_that having_come and having_knocked, they_may_open_up to_him.
immediately.
37Blessed are the those slaves, whom the master having_come, will_be_finding watching.
Truly, I_am_saying to_you_all that he_will_be_girding_about himself and will_be_reclining them, and having_come_up, he_will_be_serving unto_them.
38And_if he_may_come in the second even_if in the third watch, and may_find them thus, blessed are those.
39But be_knowing this, that if the home_owner had_known in_what hour the thief is_coming, he_watched would and he_ would not _allowed the house of_him to_be_dug_through.
40Also you_all be_becoming ready, because you_all_are_ not _supposing in_what hour, the son of_ the _man is_coming.

12:41 Good and bad slaves

(Mat. 24:45-51)

41Then Peter asked, “Master, is that parable just for us, or is it for everyone?”

42The master answered, “So what would a faithful and wise slave be like, that the master might make into a manager over all his slaves, the one to give them their rations? 43That slave will be blessed when his master arrives and finds him doing everything he should. 44I can assure you all that the master will put him in charge of everything he owns. 45In contrast, if that slave thought to himself that the master might be away for a long time, he might start beating the slave boys and slave girls, and start ordering feasts, and drinking and getting drunk, 46then his master is sure to arrive when he’s not expecting him, and the master will give him a gruesome execution and he’ll be in hell with the unbelievers.

47Any slave who knows what their master wants, yet doesn’t get anything ready or start doing what’s wanted, they’ll get a good beating, 48yet a slave that didn’t know what was expected, even if they might have done things worthy of a beating, they’ll just get a couple of blows. Everyone who’s given much is expected to do much, and everyone who’s entrusted with many things, will have much more expected back from them.

41And the Petros said:
master, are_you_telling the this parable to us, or also to all?
42And the master said:
Who consequently is the faithful prudent manager the, whom the master will_be_appointing over the service of_him, which to_be_giving ration in season?
43Blessed is the that slave, whom the master of_him having_come, will_be_finding doing thus.
44Truly I_am_saying to_you_all that he_will_be_appointing him over all the things possessing of_him.
45But if the that slave may_say in the heart of_him, the master of_me Is_delaying to_be_coming, and may_begin to_be_striking the servant_boys and the servant_girls, to_be_eating and/both and to_be_drinking and to_be_being_drunk, 46the master of_ the that _slave will_be_coming in a_day which he_is_ not _expecting, and in an_hour which he_is_ not _knowing, and will_be_dismembering him, and will_be_appointing the portion of_him with the unbelievers.
47And that the slave, which having_known the will of_the master of_him, and not having_prepared or having_done for the will of_him, will_be_being_beat many blows, 48but the one not having_known, but having_done things worthy of_beatings, will_be_being_beat few blows.
And to_everyone to_whom was_given much, much will_be_being_sought from him, and to_whom they_entrusted they_will_be_requesting him much, more_abundantly.

12:49 Yeshua will be the source of conflict

(Mat. 10:34-36)

49I came to throw fire onto the earth, and how I wish that it was already kindled, 50[ref]but I have to undergo an immersion into suffering, and until it’s achieved, the weight of it coming crushes my soul. 51You all probably expect that I came to bring peace to the earth? No, I’m telling you, not peace but conflict, 52because from now on, if there’s five people in one house, they’ll be split with three against two and two against three. 53[ref]Fathers will be in conflict with their sons, and sons with fathers, mothers against daughters and daughters against mothers, mothers-in-law against their daughters-in-law and daughters-in-law against mothers-in-law.

49I_came to_throw Fire on the earth, and how I_am_wanting if it_was_ already _kindled?
50But I_am_having to_be_immersed immersion, and how I_am_being_pressed until of_which it_may_be_accomplished.
51You_all_are_supposing that I_arrived to_give peace on the earth?
No, I_am_saying to_you_all, but rather division.
52For/Because from the time now will_be, five in one house having_been_divided, three against two, and two against three.
53father will_be_being_divided against son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against the mother, mother_in_law against the daughter-in-law of_her, and daughter-in-law against the mother_in_law.

12:54 Understanding the times

(Mat. 16:2-3)

54Yeshua also told the crowds, “Whenever you see a cloud coming from the west, you all say that it’s going to rain, and sure enough it does. 55Likewise if there’s a wind from the south, you all say that it’s going to be a scorcher, and sure enough it is. 56Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the sky and the ground, but you all don’t know how to scrutinise this time period.

54And he_was_saying also to_the crowds:
Whenever you_all_may_see a_cloud rising from the_west, immediately you_all_are_saying, that A_rainstorm is_coming, and it_is_becoming thus.
55And whenever a_south_wind is blowing, you_all_are_saying, that will_be scorching_heat, and it_is_becoming.
56Hypocrites.
You_all_have_known how to_be_approving the appearance of_the sky and of_the earth the but how you_all_have_ not _known to_be_scrutinizing this time?

12:57 Facing up to your obligations

(Mat. 5:25-26)

57Even for yourselves, can’t you judge what is right and wrong? 58Because as you’re on the way with your opponent to an arbitrator, think hard about how to resolve the case, because if you don’t, he might drag you off to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the constable, and the constable will toss you into a prison cell. 59I’m telling you that you won’t get out of there until every last penny has been repaid.

57And why even for yourselves, you_all_are_ not _judging what is right?
58For/Because as you_are_going with the opponent of_you before a_ruler in the way, give effort to_have_released from him, lest he_may_be_dragging_ you _away to the judge, and the judge will_be_giving_ you _over to_the constable, and the constable will_be_throwing you into prison.
59I_am_saying to_you, by_no_means you_may_ not _come_out from_there until you_may_give_back even the last lepton_coin.
