OET (OET-LV)And having_heard, and having_become full of_rage, they_were_crying_out saying:
Great is the Artemis of_the_ones_from_Efesos.

OET (OET-RV) When the gathering heard this, they became very angry and yelled out, “Artemis of the Ephesians is great!”

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns

ἔκραζον

˱they˲_/were/_crying_out

The pronoun they refers to the craftsmen who were making the idols. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: “the craftsmen were shouting”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

γενόμενοι πλήρεις θυμοῦ

/having/_become full ˱of˲_rage

Luke is speaking of the craftsmen as if they were containers that anger filled. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “becoming very angry”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

19:23-41 The patron deity of Ephesus was the Greek goddess Artemis. Her birthplace was believed to be Ephesus, so Ephesus was the official guardian of the temple. Twice annually, elaborate festivals were held in her honor with athletic, musical, and theatrical celebrations that included singing Great is Artemis of the Ephesians! The temple of Artemis at Ephesus was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Conversions to Christianity clearly damaged the worship of Artemis and the associated economic activity, but it became clear that Paul and his associates had committed no crime.
