(Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_said go and,see where he/it so,that_I_may_send and,so,that_I_may_capture_him and,it_was_told to=him/it to=say see/lo/see! in,Dothan )
The king is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [and I will send soldiers]

The king of Aram is using himself to represent everyone who would take or capture Elisha. He would give the command, but his soldiers would make the actual capture. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and they will capture him for me]

The expression was declared is a passive verbal form. If your language would not use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that would be natural in your language. Alternate translation: [And someone declared to him]

The person speaking to the king is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from earlier in the sentence if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [he is in Dothan]

¶ “He’s in Dothan,” he was told later.
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
