Even though Jehu was now a military commander for Jehoram, the son of Ahab, what Jehu says in [9:25](../09/25.md) shows that earlier Jehu had been one of Ahab’s commanders. That is why Yahweh still refers to Ahab as your master when speaking to Jehu. Alternate translation: [who was your master]
