OET (OET-RV) ‘Yesterday I saw Navot and his sons killed here, declared Yahweh, and I will repay you in this very place, declares Yahweh.’ So now, throw his body down here because Yahweh declared that it would happen.”

אִם־לֹ֡א אֶת־דְּמֵ֣י נָבוֹת֩ וְאֶת־דְּמֵ֨י בָנָ֜יו רָאִ֤יתִי אֶ֨מֶשׁ֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֥י לְךָ֛ בַּחֶלְקָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה
if not DOM (Some words not found in UHB: if not DOM bloods_of Nāⱱōt and=DOM bloods_of his_sons_of,his saw yesterday declares_of YHWH and,I_will_repay to/for=yourself(m) on,land (the),this declares_of YHWH and=now lift_~_out throw,him on,land according,to_the_word_of YHWH )
There are three levels of quotation here. The author is quoting what Jehu said to his captain (level 1), continuing from the previous verse. Jehu is quoting what Yahweh said about Ahab through Elijah. (level 2). Within that quotation, Yahweh says that he is declaring something, and he quotes what he is declaring (level 3). Use the appropriate punctuation in your language to mark these levels of quotation. Alternatively, you could translate this so that there are not second-level or third-level quotations.
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / quotesinquotes
If it would be clearer in your language, you could translate this so that there are not quotations within quotations. Alternate translation: [He said that he was declaring that he had certainly seen the blood of Naboth and his sons the day before and that he would repay Ahab on this portion]
Note 3 topic: writing-oathformula
אִם־לֹ֡א אֶת־דְּמֵ֣י נָבוֹת֩ וְאֶת־דְּמֵ֨י בָנָ֜יו רָאִ֤יתִי אֶ֨מֶשׁ֙
if not DOM (Some words not found in UHB: if not DOM bloods_of Nāⱱōt and=DOM bloods_of his_sons_of,his saw yesterday declares_of YHWH and,I_will_repay to/for=yourself(m) on,land (the),this declares_of YHWH and=now lift_~_out throw,him on,land according,to_the_word_of YHWH )
Following the custom of this culture, Yahweh is swearing an oath by stating the first part of a condition (“if”) but not the second part (“then”). In a context such as this, it may be natural to express just the first part of the condition as a positive statement. Alternate translation: [I certainly saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons yesterday]
Note 4 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy
אִם־לֹ֡א אֶת־דְּמֵ֣י נָבוֹת֩ וְאֶת־דְּמֵ֨י בָנָ֜יו רָאִ֤יתִי
if not DOM (Some words not found in UHB: if not DOM bloods_of Nāⱱōt and=DOM bloods_of his_sons_of,his saw yesterday declares_of YHWH and,I_will_repay to/for=yourself(m) on,land (the),this declares_of YHWH and=now lift_~_out throw,him on,land according,to_the_word_of YHWH )
Here the blood of Naboth and his sons represents their deaths If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [If I have not witnessed the deaths of Naboth and his sons] or [I have certainly witnessed the deaths of Naboth and his sons]
Note 5 topic: figures-of-speech / 123person
נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה & נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה
declares_of YHWH & declares_of YHWH
Yahweh is speaking of himself in the third person because he is making an authoritative proclamation. If it would be helpful in your language, you could translate this in the first person. Alternate translation: [I declare … I declare]
OET (OET-LV) If not DOM the_blood(s)_of Nāⱱōt and_DOM the_blood(s)_of his_sons_of_his I_saw yesterday the_utterance_of YHWH and_I_will_repay to/for_yourself(m) on_land (the)_this the_utterance_of YHWH and_now pick_him_up throw_him on_land according_to_the_message_of YHWH.
OET (OET-RV) ‘Yesterday I saw Navot and his sons killed here, declared Yahweh, and I will repay you in this very place, declares Yahweh.’ So now, throw his body down here because Yahweh declared that it would happen.”
Note: The OET-RV is still only a first draft, and so far only a few words have been (mostly automatically) matched to the Hebrew or Greek words that they’re translated from.
