TSNTyndale Study Notes:

2:1-25 Chapter 1 established the need for rescue; ch 2 describes the preparation of Moses, the rescuer. God used the destruction of the Hebrew boy babies to ensure that the rescuer would be trained (see study note on 2:10) for his task.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-time-sequential

וַיְהִ֣י ׀ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֗ם וַיִּגְדַּ֤ל מֹשֶׁה֙ וַיֵּצֵ֣א

and=he/it_was in_the=days the=those and,grown_up Mosheh and=he/it_went_out

A significant amount of time has passed; later texts state that Moses was 40 years old at this point. Alternative translation: “Many years later, once Moses was grown, he went out”

Note 2 topic: writing-newevent

וַיְהִ֣י ׀ בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֗

and=he/it_was in_the=days (Some words not found in UHB: and=he/it_was in_the=days the=those and,grown_up Mosheh and=he/it_went_out to/towards people,his and=he/it_saw in/on/at/with,forced_labor,their and=he/it_saw (a)_man from_Miʦrayim/(Miʦrayim/(Egypt)) beating (a)_man Hebrew one_of,people,his )

This introduces a new event in the story. In your language, use a phrase that indicates a new event occurring after significant time has passed.

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / go

וַיֵּצֵ֣א

and=he/it_went_out

The UST supplies a probable location that he went out from; it could also have been simply out from the Egyptian area or out to the work area or cities. Use go or come as appropriate in your language.
