RAB. in Exod., tom. 2. Primus annus omne tempus legis, etc., usque ad ut doctores Evangelii his utantur in confirmatione fidei.

40.1 Locutusque it_is Master to Moysen dicens: Mense primo, etc. STRAB. Primus anni mensis himself it_is Nisan, who and Aprilis, in quo Yudæi pascha celebrabant, and tabernaculum erectum est. And notandum because this primus mensis secundi anni fuit: primus because annus before legem fuit, secundus annus under gratia Evangelii, cui Master benedixit. Unde: Benedices coronæ anni benignitatis tuæ Psal. 64.. Annus because benignitatis fuit, quo salus humani generis per humanitatem Christi apparuit: hoc ergo anno tabernaculum God erectum it_is, id it_is Ecclesia fundata and exaltata. TSNTyndale Study Notes:

40:1-33 The report on setting up the Tabernacle begins with the Lord’s commands to do so (40:1-15) and continues with the report on how Moses obeyed those commands (40:16-33).
• The repeated statement that Moses did everything just as the Lord had commanded him (40:16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 2729, 32) is in radical contrast to Aaron’s self-serving statement in 32:22-24. God wishes to share his presence with us, but his holiness is such that this can occur only if we renounce our own efforts to secure his presence and gifts.
