Note: This view shows ‘verses’ which are not natural language units and hence sometimes only part of a sentence will be visible. Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

(Locutusque it_is Master to Moysen, saying: )
RAB. in Exod., tom. 2. Primus annus omne tempus legis, etc., usque ad ut doctores Evangelii his utantur in confirmatione fidei.
40.1 Locutusque it_is Master to Moysen saying: Mense primo, etc. STRAB. Primus anni mensis exactly_that/himself it_is Nisan, who and Aprilis, in quo Yudæi pascha celebrabant, and tabernaculum erectum it_is. Allegorice however primus mensis signat the_beginning gratiæ when tabernaculum of_God, id it_is Ecclesia erecta it_is, when/with Christus, scilicet crucifixus about latere his_own produxit mysteria blood and aquæ, to_whom Ecclesia delet_him_sayur and consecratur. And notandum because this primus mensis secundi anni fuit: primus because annus before legem fuit, secundus annus under gratia of_the_Gospels, cui Master benedixit. Whence: Benedices coronæ anni benignitatis tuæ Psal. 64.. Annus because benignitatis fuit, quo salus humani generis through humanitatem of_Christ apparuit: this therefore anno tabernaculum of_God erectum it_is, id it_is Ecclesia fundata and exaltata. RAB. in Exod., tom. 2. Primus annus omne tempus legis, etc., until to as doctores of_the_Gospels his utantur in confirmatione of_faith.
40:1-33 The report on setting up the Tabernacle begins with the Lord’s commands to do so (40:1-15) and continues with the report on how Moses obeyed those commands (40:16-33).
• The repeated statement that Moses did everything just as the Lord had commanded him (40:16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 32) is in radical contrast to Aaron’s self-serving statement in 32:22-24. God wishes to share his presence with us, but his holiness is such that this can occur only if we renounce our own efforts to secure his presence and gifts.
